Frequently Asked Questions

1.  I am interested in your services, what do I do next?

You can telephone me, email me or fill out the form on the contact page. We can then organise a time for a free consultation.  All my contact details are listed on the contact page.

2.  What happens at the free initial consultation?

I will visit you at home to meet you and more importantly, your pets, discuss your requirements and fill in booking forms. Don't forget, our services are tailor made to suit you and your pets.

3.  How do I pay and when?

You can pay by cash or cheque.  Payment is required before the services commence.  A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.

4.   What days of the week are your services available?

I will work 7 days a week and bank holidays. There are additional fees for bank holidays.

5.  What happens if my pet becomes ill?

The booking form has a section which authorises me to take your pet to the vet should it be required.

6.  Does my pet need up to date vaccinations?

In the case of dogs, I do require them to be vaccinated because they are likely to meet other dogs on their walks.  In the case of other pets, I recommend that your pets are vaccinated.

7.  Do you provide food and bedding.

No, you will have to provide food and bedding / litter for your pets.  If it runs out while you are away, I will purchase more and invoice you on your return.

8.  How long does a visit last?

A visit will last for the time it takes to fulfill all the services you require.  I will have taken this into consideration during the initial consultation.

9.  How many dogs do you walk at one time?

I will usually only walk one dog at a time unless they are from the same household.  However, I may walk 2 dogs at a time but will only do this with permission of both owners.  This can be quite useful, particularly with socialising puppies.

10.  Do you let dogs off the lead?

I will only let dogs off the lead with the express written permission of the owner, and then, only when I am happy the dog has bonded with me and will recall.

11.  Are you insured?

Yes I am.  I have Public Liability insurance and cover for animals in my care.  I am also a member of the National Association of Registered Petsitters and I am CRB Police checked.
